Two great new comics to buy this week
Here are two comics that I put on my recommendation list for this week.
Saucer Country by Paul Cornell and Ryan Wood. That, my friends, is one of the most talented pairings that you will see in comics. And if that were not enough for you to fork over your money, the high concept pitch will. Per Cornell “The X-Files meets The West Wing”. That there is a female lead who is also a POC is just the frosting on this goodie.

My second recommendation is Saga by Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples, another talented pairing. Kelly and I reviewed the preview on this week’s 3 Chicks Review Comics and it is a tad spoilery but it boils down to this - buy it. The art is amazing and Vaughan once again is able in one issue to create a world and set of characters that are compelling and addictive. The high concept pitch? “Star Wars meets Romeo and Juliet.” And it is worth every cent, in fact at 40 pages for $2.99 it is the best buy in comics this week.
